My name is Don Brocious. My wife Susan, our daughter Victoria and I are professional breeders of DDR East German Shepherds. Goble is a family name with German roots dating back 12 generations. Our focus is breeding quality dogs that have a perfect balance of temperament, health and structure. In keeping with the East German Shepherd tradition our puppies and dogs have large bone, big block heads and luxurious silky coats. Goble Kennels produces puppies with black, black sable, red sables, bi-color (black and red) and sable coats.

A Lifetime of Experience and Affection

My affection for German Shepherds began when I was very young. I got Sarg my first GSD when I was 19. Sarg was ever faithful while I served in the Marine Corps. 35 plus years of experience with this highly intelligent and wonderful breed has given me the knowledge and insight I use with my breeding program.

Our Pets Are Our Family

Goble Kennels operates in a non-traditional atmosphere. We truly enjoy our dogs and puppies and get pleasure in having them with us. Instead of kenneling our German Shepherds they live in our home and are free to be in the house or out in their large play yard. On a typical day, where ever we are - you will also find most of our dogs.
Our puppies also play a big role in our kennel. I birth each pup and interact with them every day until they are placed in their new homes. The puppy pens are large and spacious with lots of room to romp and play. Socialization begins when the puppies are approximately 4 weeks old. We bring the pups into our great room so the family is able to enjoy them. We start introducing them to the adult German Shepherds, and to our part time resident cat, Milley. Milley is Victoria’s cat who stays with us when she comes home from college. By 8 weeks the puppies are very comfortable being around daily household activities. They have had a lot of exposure with humans, Milley, the other dogs in the house and weather depending have learned how to use a dog door. All puppies come with a puppy starter kit, their first set of shots, health certificate and contract. High quality placement of our puppies is very important to us. We make our pups part of our family before they become part of your family.
